These operettas, performed by The New Sadlers Wells Opera, are sung in English, recordings of which had been previously unavailable until this groundbreaking TER series, so are very welcome releases for the many opera enthusiasts who seek out opera recordings in English. In ‘The Count Of Luxembourg’, the New Sadler’s Wells Opera Chorus and Orchestra provide us with exquisite versions of such classics as “Tell Me Can This Be Love” and “Love’s a Dream”, digitally recorded at Abbey Road Studios. |
