Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki was born in 1995 to Polish parents and made his concerto debut at the age of nine. In 2010 Lisiecki signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, becoming the youngest-ever pianist to sign to the prestigious 'yellow label': his debut recording of Mozart Concertos was lauded by Gramophone as 'a noteworthy disc from an exciting talent', and a disc of Chopin Etudes followed the next year.
