We've resurrected 50 Deutsche Grammophon titles this week, including highlights from classic opera recordings (such as James Levine's 1991 Traviata with Cheryl Studer and Pavarotti, and Seiji Ozawa's 1986 Tales of Hoffmann with Plácido Domingo), a series of legendary Schubert recordings (including Karl Böhm's 'Unfinished' and 'Great' symphonies with the Berliner Philharmoniker, song-cycles from Fischer-Dieskau and chamber music from Rostropovich and the Melos Ensemble) and world premiere recordings of works by Hans Werner Henze, many directed by the composer himself.
