Another dive into the early-music treasure-chest this week, with 35 new titles from Gaudeamus and Oiseau-Lyre - both renowned for the catalogue of Baroque, Renaissance and earlier repertoire.
Pioneering early-practice groups such as The Cardinall's Musick, The Clerks' Group and of course Christopher Hogwood's Academy of Ancient Music feature, performing repertoire ranging from the relatively well-known (Mozart Piano Concertos and Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier) to such forgotten gems as Biber's Requiem and Tye's Peterhouse Mass.
