Richard Rodney Bennett (b.1936)

English composer who studied with Lenox Berkeley and with Boulez.

His prolific repertoire shows the use not only of serial, or twelve-note techniques but the influence of jazz elements, his Guitar Concerto displays both aspects.

Amongst his film scores is the music for Murder on the Orient Express.
