Charles Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921)

Prolific French composer and child prodigy as an organist and pianist. His score-reading and improvisatory skills were legendary. Most famous for his Carnival of the Animals, he also wrote operas, the Danse Macabre and an Organ Symphony.
