The coronation of Hungary’s Renaissance King Matthias took place in 1458; his Queen Beatrix died exactly 50 years later. The 50 years that elapsed between 1458 and 1508 may not be a long time in historical terms, but it left an indelible imprint on Hungarian cultural history.
