From beginning to end (with the only exception being 'Lavapiés', which evokes a certain Madrilenian district) Iberia is a triumphant and lively musical reflection on Andalusia through the profound sight and hearing of Isaac Albéniz, and his great instinct and knowledge of the piano.
OSCAR MARTÍN was born in Seville in 1976 and began his studies at the Conservatory of Music in Seville, where he studied with Professors José Antonio Coso and Ana Guijarro. He has played in many international concert halls, including the “University Chopin” from Warsaw (Poland), where he made his debut playing the “Suite Iberia” by Isaac Albéniz.
Also note worthy is his chamber music activity, including recordings of the works of Arnold Schoenberg, Sánchez Verdú, with Zahir Ensemble and Juan Garcia to be published by Verso and Naxos labels respectively.
