Octophorus, Paul Dombrecht The Harmonie Octet of the 18th century is made up of various combinations of wind instruments including oboes, clarinets, bassoons and flutes. At various times composers would add horns and percussion to create a distinctive oriental or Turkish sound, which became a great fashion at the time.
