Anton Bruckner: Symphony No. 8 in C minor, WAB 108 (1887 version)
I. Allegro moderato
II. Scherzo: Allegro moderato - Trio: Allegro moderato
III. Adagio Feierlich langsam, doch nicht schleppend
IV. Finale: Feierlich, nicht schnell
Anton Bruckner: Symphony No. 7 in E major, WAB 107
Symphony No. 7 in E major, WAB 107: II. Andante: Sehr feierlich und sehr langsam
“Here, as in the Seventh [Nézet-Séguin] is able to balance expressive suppleness with a firm enough sense of structure, relishing the spacious acoustic without allowing it to weigh the music down...[He] is clearly developing into a very interesting Bruckner conductor, and he may yet displace a few big names in this symphony.”
