This is volume 6 in the series of recordings documenting one of Denmark’s finest composers, Hermann David Koppel. Disc 1 features his Requiem, written in 1965-66 and recorded live at its first performance in 1968. The orchestral recordings on disc 2 are delightful mature works, with the Oboe concerto being highly recommended.
