These recordings date from Alexis ‘Sigi’ Weissenberg’s graduation from the Juilliard School and prior to his lengthy sabbatical. As such they offer an extremely rare opportunity to hear a varied programme from a pianist who polarised opinion but never failed to pack the concert hall.
