Dynamic: CDS501

The collaboration agreement signed last year between Dynamic and the renowned Rossini Opera Festival has led to this Bianca e Falliero, an opera which was premiered at La Scala in 1819. This work reaped great success with audiences but received contrasting reviews, some of them outright negative, which hindered its popularity, making it, in fact, disappear from the repertoire for almost a century and a half, from 1846 to 1986. The cast of the present recording features famous singers such as Marķa Bayo and Daniela Barcellona alonside rising stars such as the tenor Francesco Meli. Renato Palumbo, recently appointed music director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, is on the podium.
