Eckart Runge and Jacques Ammon, otherwise known as “cello project” set out on a voyage to the Wild East, performing Russian repertoire. Their tango CD released in 2008 on GENUIN (GEN 88126) was a sensational success. This CD includes music by the intense, funny and tragic Nikolai Kapustin and is the world premiere of his outstanding second cello sonata.
