The “Four Islands of the Dead” are based on four songs by Johannes Brahms. Johannes Kalitzke (born 1959) uses the idea of a musical veil to hide the original songs and to cover the musical ideas with a contemporary interpretation. “Six Covered Settings” are musical interpretations of the setting sun.
