“A few months ago Hänssler released a fine version of his Episodi e canto perpetuo for piano trio… The same work now appears from the Trio Parnassus in an equally strong performance that was recorded in the presence of the composer. In the Parnassus performance, the atmospheric acoustic serves to intensify a real sense of expectancy and prepare us more effectively for the ensuing emotionally fraught struggle than on the Hänssler version.”
