These recordings were made at the end of the 1940’s at the time that magnetic recordings were being introduced in the USSR. The first (German) recordings appeared at Moscow radio in 1945 and shortly afterwards they began to be produced in the USSR. These are important documents from this time and provide a fascinating insight into early recording techniques.
