Johann Christoph Vogel was born in 1756, the same year as Mozart, in Nuremberg. He died in Paris in 1788, at the age of only 32. His “Three Symphonies” for Large Orchestra” prove him to be a superior master of the French style. These works are recorded here for the first time.
