Viktoria Postnikova (piano) Tchaikovsky enjoyed composing piano music from the very start of his career until the
last year of his life. He wrote well over a hundred pieces for piano over a period of
twenty-six years… Many of these are lyrical miniatures, quite similar to those written by
Schumann or Mendelssohn, but, despite such influences, they bear the unmistakeable
