CDs, DVDs & Blu-rays

We stock a very wide range of classical CDs and DVDs and have access to almost all known recordings. We operate a very efficient ordering service and can get any item not in stock if it is currently available.

Our staff are on hand to help and advise as required. To make your choice easier we have highlighted CDs with BBC, Gramophone or Penguin awards, and you can look up reviews in the Gramophone and Penguin guides.

For ease of access and browsing, CDs are displayed by composer, with separate sections for boxed sets, Naxos and other budget CDs, early and contemporary music, operas, DVDs, and new releases. Items on promotion are often displayed separately, and there is a separate jazz section.

We run a CD Club giving shop customers a 5% discount on CD and DVD purchases, and a quarterly newsletter highlighting points of interest and special offers.

Please note that our shop prices are typically slightly higher than the prices advertised online, and we often run slightly different special offers in the shop as well. However, with the CD club discount (exclusively available in the shop), and the postage saving, the price you end up paying is generally comparable to what you would pay buying online.
