Parnassus's ongoing documentation of the little-known early period of Sviatoslav Richter's career continues with a monumental, mostly unpublished Beethoven recital from 1951. While there are well-known recordings of Richter playing the "Diabelli" Variations from 1971 and 1986, this is the earliest documented performance of him playing the music. Of the material in this concert, only the "Diabelli" Variations have ever been published before. The remaining material from this concert has never been published in any form. | | | In stock - usually despatched within 1 working day. |

| | | Beethoven - Bagatelles
“His readings have the easy authority of one who has no difficulty in tracing the composer's most casual thoughts, even if he does not always follow his instructions to the letter. Brendel shows considerable virtuosity when he wishes to unleash it... but he is essentially a thoughtful, lyrical pianist with a tone which sings—but never monotonously.” Gramophone Magazine | | | (Sorry, download not available in your country) | In stock - usually despatched within 1 working day. |

| | | Great Pianists - Moiseiwitsch 9
“Moiseiwitsch was a virtuoso in the most aristocratic sense, incomparably fleet and vivacious in the Pathétique's Allegro di molto con brio, coolly without falseness or special pleading in the Adagio, sleek and feline in the finale. He eases his way into the Moonlight's Allegretto with typical insouciance and you can only marvel at his dazzling and propulsive spin through the Waldstein. Such playing is beyond price...” Gramophone Magazine, Awards 2006 | | | (also available to download from $9.00) | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days. (Available now to download.) |

| | | Beethoven: Bagatelles And Dances, Vol. 3
“This is truly one of the most charming humorous piano works ever written, and Jando turns in a spirited performance that misses none of the work's zany rambunctiousness, and none of its rich colors. They are charming pieces that divulge a Mozartean flavor, though the sonic power in the openings of several of the Minuets may cause you to doubt the latter observation. Jando renders them all with panache and grace, fully capturing their light beauties and moments of muscle. Naxos lavishes Jando with excellent sound here and Keith Anderson, as usual, provides informative notes. A thoroughly charming disc.” Classical Net, 2002 | | | (also available to download from $6.00) | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days. (Available now to download.) |
