This recording is a tribute to the dialogue between America and Europe: two continents with a fascinating past and a rich cultural life. These two continents have given much to each other: the new immigrants brought their music and, in time, American jazz imposed its influence on Europe. The Ensemble Caprice (2 recorders, viola da gamba and percussion) offers its vision of continental crossover in works ranging from the Middle Ages through to the present, including a salute to George Gershwin.
