The Stenhammar Quartet

Lars-Erik Larsson is one of the best-loved Swedish composers, known above all for his orchestral music, especially the Pastoral Suite and the lyrical suite A God Disguised. This recording contains the composer’s three string quartets and the delightful Late Autumn Leaves. The Stenhammar Quartet have pioneered Swedish composers, so much so that they discovered two extra movements for Late Autumn Leaves. This recording, therefore, presents the first version of Late Autumn Leaves in its entirety.
