The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge, has that something special which makes it incredibly popular. Over the years the pure sound of these well-trained male singers (16 boys and 14 men) has proved immensely appealing to a wide audience. And yet few people know about the hard, seven days a week discipline which lies at the root of this heavenly music. The choir has a daily (!) routine of rehearsals and performing choral evensong at the chapel of the College. So the Evensong for Advent (the four weeks running up to Christmas) is part of their regular repertoire. These are combined here with Vespers for the assumption of the Virgin Mary (August 15). But any time of the year is right to listen to this unsurpassed choir. | | | Usually despatched in 4 - 5 working days. |
