The Choir of St David's Cathedral, Daniel Cook

The Cathedral of St Davids stands on the site of the monastery that David, who was born in 500, founded. This CD recorded by the cathedral choir is a testament to its fine traditions and standards and encapsulates the music sung for Mattins, at the Eucharist and at Evensong. The music reflects a Welsh connection and also features the first recording of Matthew Martin’s anthem: In the Year that King Uzziah Died – a substantial and demanding piece.

A CD of true worth.
