Later he became a refugee and this music, discovered by the Orchester Jakobsplatz München, dates from when the composer was seeking a new life in Israel. In Kabbalat Shabbat, the Sabbath is greeted with joyous song. Other works include his Sonata in G, written for Yehudi Menuhin.
