The disc opens with one of Jean Langlais major works, the Mass Salve Regina, sketched from Gregorian chants of the Middle Ages. At two opposing points of the cathedral two sonorous ensembles respond to one another. This CD should be seen as a ‘best of’ drawn from two previously deleted titles.
