This CD presents a sonorous cross section of the sacred vocal music of Hungary from the 20th century. The music has its roots in the romantic era but has developed into an independent Hungarian vocal style. It bacame internationally well known through the works of Bartok, Kodály and Bárdos. The Budapest Monteverdi Choir presents a selection of these works.
