Michael Korstick (piano)

This latest release in the Koechlin series includes Danses pour Ginger Op. 163, Sonatine Op. 59 No. 3 and Andante con moto, which is a world premiere recording. Numerous award winning CD recordings have won Michael Korstick a reputation as one of Germany’s leading pianists. This is illustrated by the fact that a volume of his Beethoven series is also released on Oehms this month.

“The third instalment of Michael Korstick's exploration of Charles Koechlin's piano music is, if anything, even more engaging and teasingly elusive than its predecessors...he allows their flavour to come through perfectly naturally.” The Guardian, 2nd December 2010 ****
