Nigel North certainly needs no introduction, with his career to date including recordings for Linn Records and Naxos. The music on this recording comes from the years leading up to Weiss’ time at the Dresden court and is to be found in the London manuscript, which is now preserved in the British Library (Add Ms3038).

****
“Spacious and probing in the Allemande, [North] delivers a wonderfully extrovert Courante and a Menuet oozing sophisticated urbanity. Unfailingly, North's playing is scrupulously considered yet spontaneous.”
March 2011
“As always, North's playing is a wonder, an easy, natural musicality and an impeccable technique complemented by a real ear for colour and nuance of expression.”
