“The Sinfonias, variously scored for flutes, oboes, bassoon and horns, are sparkling affairs which demonstrate Hertel’s gift as a colourist. The Scherzo of the G major Sinfonia, with its decidedly Handelian character, is, perhaps, especially appealing. In summary, this is a cracker of a disc which deserves and easily wins its Outstanding qualification. Bravo!”
