Georgy Sviridov was a significant 20th century composer, composing oratorios and cantatas, as well as over 200 lyrical romances and songs. Here we have the opportunity to hear him performing his own compositions with Evgeny Nesterenko, a master singer with a bass voice of rare beauty. These recordings were made in 1978.
