Recently located live recordings of the 1987 & 1988 Husum Piano festival, are now released for the first time on CD at two for the price of one. Not to missed by any piano lover! “[Fowke's] playing is that of a true virtuoso, sumptuously coloured and inflected, while Marc-Andre Hamelin displays all of his superhuman command in his own savagely intricate Prelude and Fugue Etude. Clearly I could go on for ever, but all I can offer is a taster from this box of delights…” Gramophone Magazine, October 2010 | | | Usually despatched in 4 - 5 working days. |

| | | Nikolai Demidenko plays Chopin
Demidenko is famous for his perfomances of the Russian concerto repertoire. On this CD, he performs the works of Chopin with passion and artistry. These performances were recorded live at the Witold Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw in 2008. “...the Russian pianist, not usually associated with period-conscious performance, makes a valuable contribution to the project, and unifies this miscellany with his interpretative authority...it's impossible to resist anything played on this 1848 Pleyel, one of the best-recorded period pianos on disc.” BBC Music Magazine, September 2010 **** | | | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days. |

| | | Horszowski - MiecioLetters and postcards of Janina Roza Horszowska 1900-1904
Book + CD Edited by: Bice Horszowski Costa Following on from Bice Horszowski Costa’s previous book Remembrances of Mieczyslaw Horszowski, which drew a comprehensive picture of the long and intense life of the great pianist, Dynamic are pleased to be able to present another rare book titled Letters and postcards of Janina Roza Horszowska. The collection of picture postcards has been retrieved after decades of being hidden away in a garage in Nice. The letters and postcards are from Miecio’s mother Janina which she sent home to her husband almost daily between 1900 and 1904. There are over 130 postcards which provide a striking overview of the beginning of the last century and a unique glance at the musical development of a child-prodigy from a mother’s perspective. The book includes a CD featuring recordings of some of the works mentioned in the letters and postcards. The recordings have never been recorded on CD before. Also included are a small biographical glossary, an updated discography, and bibliography. | | | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days. |

“This Silesian pianist, who spent most of the his life in England, made a speciality of unusual virtuoso works, such as Balakirev's Sonata. His playing sounds dated and not as spectacular as it needs to be.” BBC Music Magazine, January 2008 *** “…this fascinating programme is an invaluable reminder of a pianist who in his heyday (1938-51, the time of these performances, and still earlier in 1928) was a luxuriant stylist who could touch off much of is vast repertoire with dazzling musical and technical aplomb.” Gramophone Magazine, November 2007 | | | (also available to download from $8.75) | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days.
