Revivals followed in quick succession at Naples, Bergamo, Turin, Barcelona, Malta and then it vanished completely! No one seems even to have remembered its existence, until one Fernando Previtali discovered the battered full score used by the conductor at that momentous first performance, on a market stall in Rome in the 1950’s. “As the vengeful Amelia, Inva Mula rises to the rabble-rousing Act 1 cabalette, as well as the scene in which she attempts to assassinate the Duke. Arturo Chacóon-Cruz gives considerable emotion to "Angelo casto e bel". Enrique Mazzola conducts the Radio France forces in a convincingly vigorous performance.
