Friedrich Thomas & Hansjacob Staemmler (piano) This new disc in the Piano Rarities series is an array of works arranged for two pianos by Heribert Breuer. He has chosen a variety of works ranging from J.S Bach to Max Reger, all of which, with the exception of the Mozart, are organ works. Breuer wanted to work with a broad contrast of repertoire from virtuosic to contemplative which is reflected in the title Glory and Damnation. His aim is to take the listener on an exciting journey far away from the piano literature that is heard so often. Phoenix Edition’s Piano Rarities series aims to fill those gaps. | | | (also available to download from $10.50) | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days. (Available now to download.) |
