| | | Mozart: Piano Concertos Nos. 9 & 21
The definitive Mozart pianist of our time continues her Grammy Award-winning series of concerto recordings with No. 9 known as “Jeunehomme” and very popular No. 21. The Concertos Nos. 23 and 24 release in the series was a huge critical and popular success, already selling nearly 30,000 copies and winning a Grammy award. These extraordinary performances are the result of Mitsuko Uchida’s longstanding association with The Cleveland Orchestra. Unlike her first cycle of recordings for Philips, they feature Dame Mitsuko directing the orchestra herself, from the piano, delighting in a very special musical collaboration. “No pianist conveys the rapture of Mozart quite like Mitsuko Uchida does” (The Independent) “Uchida’s third disc as soloist/director with the Cleveland Orchestra is every bit as satisfying as its predecessors” Financial Times, 6th October 2012 “While these performances don't necessarily eclipse her earlier ones, Uchida remains one of the most thoughtful and poetic of Mozartians, with a fastidious control of sound second to none.” Gramophone Magazine, December 2012 “joyful, probing and vivacious in the early Jeunehomme in E flat major, K271 and in the grand C major, K467, both of which have famously tender, poetic slow movements. The ensemble between Uchida and the Cleveland is cleanly articulated but always full of wonder and curiosity.” The Observer, 9th September 2012 | | | In stock - usually despatched within 1 working day. |

| | | Mozart: Piano Concertos Nos. 20 & 21
This CD marks the beginning of a complete series of Mozart piano concertos being released on Accent. Arthur Schoonderwoerd is in great demand as a fortepiano performer. His ensemble Cristofori play on authentic instruments of the period or modern reproductions. The string parts in the orchestral accompaniment are played by just one musician per part. “A scrupulous labour of love, using a fortepiano as close as humanly possible to Mozart's.” BBC Music Magazine, June 2012 *** | | | (also available to download from $10.75) | In stock - usually despatched within 1 working day. |

| | | Edition Géza Anda Vol. 1: Mozart
With this double CD, Audite opens a four-part series of recordings of the Hungarian pianist Géza Anda (1921-1976) from the archives of the West German Radio Cologne. These are both studio- and live-recordings from 1952 until 1970 which have until now remained unpublished or are premiere CD recordings. It is the aim of this edition to display a representative cross section of Anda’s diverse repertoire and also to close a delicate gap in his discography. Published for the very first time are the recordings of the four famous Viennese piano concertos by Mozart: Anda appears as soloist and conductor in one and is also joined by renowned conductors Joseph Keilberth and Constantin Silvestri together with Camerata Academica Salzburg and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Cologne. Finally, Anda can be experienced for the first time as a conductor in an impetuous recording of Mozart’s Symphony in C major KV 200. | | | In stock - usually despatched within 1 working day. |
