Announcement, Welcome to the new Presto Classical website

Welcome to the new Presto Classical website! We’re very excited about both the new look and the new functionality, and wanted to give you a quick tour of the updated layout and some of the great additional features.

This is just the beginning for our new site - we’ll be adding more great features regularly over the coming months and years. If you have any questions, comments, or ideas, please do get in touch, we’d love to hear what you think.

Search & Browse

Our search box and menu can now be found at the top of every page.

Search

We have made huge improvements to the search, so you can put any combinations of 'composers', 'works', 'artists', 'labels' etc. all into the same search box and you should get excellent and very relevant results. For example searching for 'mahler 8 haitink', 'mozart 38 mackerras linn' or 'ehnes onyx' brings back I think exactly what you would expect. This should be quicker than the old Advanced Search (which we've now retired), but in 99% of cases no less accurate. Do let us know how you get on though.

Browse

You can continue to browse by composer (and work), artist, label and award-winners, plus we’ve added new pages for all formats. These are all in the red menu across the top rather than the down the left side as they used to be.

New & Future Releases

Listings of new and future releases can also be accessed from the menu. There are big blue buttons at the top of top of page to go directly to 'new releases' or 'future releases' only (as we had previously on separate pages), but in addition, you can filter the results by format, era, or music type (so with two clicks you can quickly see all new and forthcoming Opera on Blu-ray video for example). You can also search within your results to find a specific release, or all releases from a specific label, composer or artist - or any combination of the above.

Special Offers & Latest News

You can now find all our current special offers through the link in the menu, plus highlights featured on the right-hand side of the Presto Classical homepage.

The Latest News section brings together all of our articles, allowing you to easily browse through our extensive archive of interviews, recommendations and weekly reviews (which can now be found under Recording of the Week).

Browse pages

We’ve added some exciting new features to our browse pages. We now offer two different ways to view your search or browse results: a product list (with more detailed information about each recording visible) and a product grid (which allows you to fit more results on a page). You can even choose how many results are shown on each page!

Look out for the new filters on the left-hand side, which you can use to refine your results by release date, format, availability, special offers, award-winners or number of discs - making it quicker and easier to find exactly what you're looking for.

Product page

You’ll still find all the same high-quality information about each recording on our product pages, with sound samples, videos, and listings of reviews and awards all available for reference.

Explore further with links to the composer, works, artists and label - all of which can be found under the ‘Related’ tab.

Sheet Music

You can access our sheet music department via the link on the homepage, or from the Departments drop-down in the menu.
