Þorkell Sigurbjörnsson var íslenskt tónskáld.
Þorkell var sonur hjónanna Sigurbjörns Einarssonar biskups og Magneu Þorkelsdóttur biskupsfrúar og hannyrðakonu. Þorkell lauk stúdentsprófi frá Menntaskólanum í Reykjavík 1957, hóf nám við Hamline háskólann í Minnesota og lauk mastersprófi frá háskólanum í Illinois í Bandaríkjunum 1961.
