Pablo Casals' (1876-1973) recordings of Beethoven’s complete music for cello and piano with that other musical legend, the American (but Hungarian born and educated in Vienna) pianist Rudolf Serkin, now in vastly improved sound.

[Producers note: This is the original Philips edition, in stereo. The present masters start from the Philips tapes preserved in Paris (Polygram). Sony partially reissued this complete set in 2004. I do not have the precise days of recording, but they date from Prades 1953/4. Sound is incomparable!]
