Jazz Is Dead is a record label founded by composer and arranger Adrian Younge, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad of hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest. Many JID releases feature veteran jazz players, with its first few releases including vibraphonist Roy Ayers and saxophonist Gary Bartz.
